Instruction
The Links At Gettysburg features Lifetime PGA Professional David Stegeman as resident Director of Golf Instruction.

Links General Manager Ken Picking said: "With our growing club membership, and residence community, it is time The Links provided full-time instruction. We are fortunate to be able to offer the experience and expertise of Dave Stegeman, who is well-known around the Gettysburg area as a premier golf instructor."
Stegeman, a Biglerville resident who served as Head PGA Professional at the Gettysburg Country Club from 1980-85, said: "The Links At Gettysburg is becoming known as the premier golf facility in the Mid-Atlantic. I am proud to base my teaching at The Links."

Stegeman, who most recently has been assisting Top 100 PGA Instructor Ted Sheftic, offers individual and group lessons, video analysis, as well as on-course playing instruction.

"I was a 17 handicap, and going up, before I took a lesson with Dave (Stegeman)," said Bob Keefe. "Now I shoot 83 and feel that am I going down. I didn't suddenly get better on my own. All the credit goes to Dave. . . There were 24 guys laughing when I told them I would be down to a single-digit handicap by July 4th after our first lesson. They're not sure sure now. . . If you can make me a better golfer, you can help anybody."

Stegeman's classes can be booked by calling The Links Pro Shop at (717) 359-8000, #25.

Stegeman's resume includes: working at Lehigh (Pa.) Country Club, Woodbury (N.J.) Country Club, Lost Creek (Pa.) Golf Club and the Pace-Sheftic Golf School, Vero Beach, Fla.

Stegeman also is a player, having competed on the Sunbelt Senior Tour, PGA Senior Tour, Philadelphia PGa Tour. Stegeman played in the 1998 U.S. Senior Open at Riviera Country Club. He has won 40 tournaments and set five course records.
